The climate in Bhutan is extremely different attributed to two main factors, the vast differences in altitude present in the country and the influence of the north Indian monsoons.
We have divided into two seasons out of four seasons that we have in Bhutan:
HIGH SEASONS ( USD 225 per person)
- Spring ( March, April and May): The magnificent rhododendrons, magnolias and other wildflowers are in bloom and bird life is abundant. Many of the large festivals take place during these seasons.
- Autumn (September, October and December): The weather is milder, the skies are generally clearer making it particularly suitable for hiking and trekking. The most popular festival of Thimphu Festival and Bumthang Jambay Lhakhang drup use to held during these months.
LOW SEASONS ( USD $180 per person):
- Winter ( December, January and February) : Coming in Bhutan during winter is a perfect idea because you will experience quite pleasant temperatures during a day. Just in the morning, evening and night, you might need to endure mild freezing but room heater's are available in every tourist standard hotels. There is number of traditional tsechu festivals to experiences in the winter. These are equally if not more interesting than the famous festivals of spring and autumn. The event to focus on is Druk Wangyel Tshechu held annually on 13 December in scenic Dochu-la pass above Thimphu. Another very attractive event is Trongsa Tshechu held in December or January in the ancient castle of Trongsa dzong.Black Necked Cranes are elusive birds annually coming to Bhutan from Tibet for roosting. Usually the birds will come in the middle of November and will stay till the end of February. The main places to spot the birds is Phobjika valley, Chummey in Bumthang and Bomdeling Birds Sanctuary in Tashi Yangtse.
- Summer (June, July and August): We have lot's of offer's during the month of summer and also you will get to see the best seasonal greeting's, birds and green paddy land. We have Haa summer festival and Masutaki festival during these months.
